I have been making calendars for charity for the last 5 years. I initially started because I used to send local calendars to friends abroad. One year the selection available was very poor, and I thought "I could do better than that!".

So I spent the next year taking photos in the local area so I could make my own calendar. Around the same time a friend of mine died of cancer. Towards the end of her life the Macmillan nurses had been a great help in making her final weeks as comfortable as possible.

So I decided that I would dedicate the calendar to her memory, and ask the people who received the calendar to make a donation to macmillan or a local cancer charity.

The following year I again decided to make my own calendar, but this time I would try and sell some to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. I have continued to do so every year since.
